Delete your AskProf account
Last updated: August 1, 2026
AskProf is published by ABICS (AB International Consulting Services). This page explains how to delete your AskProf account, exactly what is deleted, and what — if anything — is kept afterwards.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself, in the app
This is immediate and does not require contacting anyone.
- Open the AskProf app, or go to askprof.com.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Profile tab (on the web, open askprof.com/profile).
- Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete forever.
Your account and data are erased straight away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, email support@askprof.com from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes all of the following:
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- Your profile: name, email address, grade level, subjects of interest, exam track and settings.
- Every conversation and message you have exchanged with AskProf, including any images you attached.
- All quizzes, quiz scores and attempt history, flashcards and saved notes.
- Your class memberships. If you are a teacher, the classes you created and their join codes.
- Any feedback or reports you submitted about AI responses.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. We do not keep a recoverable copy, and there is no grace period during which the account can be restored — so please export anything you want to keep before you delete it.
What is kept, and for how long
- Nothing that identifies you personally is retained in AskProf after deletion.
- Routine server logs kept for security and abuse prevention may briefly contain technical records of requests (such as IP address and timestamps). These are not linked to your profile once the account is deleted, and are discarded on our provider's normal rolling schedule (up to 30 days).
- Anonymous, aggregated class totals (for example "12 students were active this week") may remain visible to a teacher. These contain no personal information and cannot be traced back to you.
- If you previously shared a conversation using a public share link, delete the share from that conversation before deleting your account. Deleting the account removes the shared conversation too.
- We may retain records where the law requires it — for example to comply with a legal obligation — for no longer than that obligation requires.
