AskProf is published by ABICS (AB International Consulting Services). If something is not working, or you have a question this page does not answer, email us and a person will read it.

• The email address on your AskProf account.
• Whether you are using the app or a web browser, and on what device.
• What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
• A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.

Common questions

I cannot sign in

On the sign-in page, use Forgot password? to set a new password. The reset email arrives from our mail provider, so check your spam or promotions folder if it does not appear within a few minutes. If you originally signed up with Google, Microsoft or Apple, use that same button to sign in rather than a password.

I signed up with Apple and now I want to use the website

Sign in with Apple is available in the iPhone and iPad app. To use the same account in a web browser, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page to set a password. The reset email reaches you even if you chose to hide your email address.

The answer I got looks wrong

AskProf is an AI study companion, and it can make mistakes. Always check important facts. Every response has a Report option: use it to flag an answer that is offensive, harmful or inaccurate, and it comes straight to us.

I cannot attach a photo

You can attach photos of your work from your photo library or straight from the camera. If the photo button is missing, photo uploads may be switched off temporarily, or the app may still be loading. Close and reopen the app, and try again.

Why am I being asked to wait before sending more messages?

AskProf has fair-use daily limits so the service stays fast and free for everyone. They reset automatically. Nothing is for sale in AskProf, and no payment removes a limit.

Is AskProf free?

Yes. AskProf is completely free, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. It is funded by its sponsor, ABICS.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile and choose Delete account. Full details of what is removed are on the account deletion page.

What do you do with my data?

Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected, who processes it, and how to have it deleted. The Terms of Use cover acceptable use.

For teachers

Teachers can create a class and share a join code with students. Class progress is shown as anonymous aggregates only. AskProf never shows a teacher a student's conversations.
